OH MY! OH MY! OH MY!
That shop... wait, shop doesn't even begin to describe what Harrods is. Shop is too lowly a word.
Maybe emporium is a better one.
The place is HUUUUUUUUUUGE! and oh my gosh is it luxurious! I felt underdressed walking in there in my jeans and sneakers... out of place amongst all the designer wear! worn by some, and the suits worn in certain departments by staff, and just wandering around brand names I've only ever seen in magazines!
It has FIVE floors, and each floor is MASSIVE!. The perfume department, on the ground floor is the size of an average
The food court! Oi... too much... a sushi bar, a section for meat, and fruit and veg section, and don't forget the chocolates and pastries!
Wandering around, in awe...trying not to let my jaw drop at absolutely everything I set my eyes on!
There is an entire floor dedicated to ladies - from clothes, to shoes, to lingerie... all designer might I add. Each designer has his own section! And the way it's all displayed...oh my oh my oh my!
Don't forget the accessories! Bags, sunglasses, scarves, fine jewellery!
Swarovski, De Beers...
There's Hermes and Gucci, and Jimmy Choo and Miu Miu and names I've never heard of (or perhaps just not paid attention to).
The gents are of course catered for too. Clothes, of course and then what boys tend to love most - toys! Electronics - flat screens and laptops and all sorts.
Then there's the music shop and the book shop and the pet shop and toy store on the floor dedicate to children and the sports store!
The sports store! Every sport imaginable is covered...polo, cycling, skiing, swimming, running...everything. And again, the designer brands: and i'm not talking about Adidas and Nike only I'm talking names I've not heard of once again...Belstaff, Burberry, Barbour
There's also sections for furniture, kitchen equipment, luggage....
Pretty much - you can buy everything plus some that you require, need, want and desire in that shop! If you can afford it that is!
I've said so before..but honestly...feeling like a country bumpkin is an understatement! And I had to make sure my jaw was not constantly dropped to the floor!
